Overview

Spot by Kiiroo is a revolutionary dual-stimulation vibrator designed to provide personalized pleasure experiences. With its innovative C-shape design, Spot offers simultaneous internal and external stimulation, adapting perfectly to individual anatomy.

Designer Note

The design challenge was to create a product that could adapt to different body types while maintaining a sleek, premium aesthetic. The curved form was developed through extensive ergonomic testing to ensure comfort and effectiveness for all users.

What sets Spot apart is its customizable LED light system, which not only creates a visually stunning effect but also serves as a functional indicator of different vibration modes and intensity levels. The lights can be personalized through the companion app, allowing users to create their own unique experience.

Crafted from body-safe silicone with a luxuriously soft touch, Spot combines cutting-edge technology with thoughtful design to create an intimate product that feels as good as it looks.

Design Approach

The design process for Spot began with extensive research into user preferences and ergonomics. We wanted to create a product that would be both visually appealing and functionally superior, addressing common pain points with existing products in the market.

Designer Note

The C-shape design was a breakthrough moment in the development process. It solved multiple challenges at once: providing dual stimulation, ensuring a secure fit during use, and creating a distinctive silhouette that stands out in the market.

The soft pink color was carefully selected to feel approachable and premium, while the smooth, seamless silicone exterior creates a luxurious tactile experience. Every curve and contour was refined through multiple iterations to ensure optimal comfort and functionality.

Technology & Innovation

Spot incorporates several innovative features that elevate the user experience:

Customizable LED Lights: The colorful flower-shaped LED display can be personalized through the app, allowing users to create their own light patterns or turn them off completely for a more discreet experience.
Dual Motors: Independent motors in each end of the device provide targeted stimulation with customizable intensity and patterns.
App Connectivity: The companion app allows for remote control, customization of vibration patterns, and personalization of the LED display.
Ergonomic Design: The flexible C-shape adapts to different body types while maintaining consistent contact points.

Materials & Production

Spot is crafted from premium body-safe silicone that is both soft to the touch and durable. The silicone exterior is seamlessly bonded to an internal structure that houses the motors, battery, and electronic components.

The manufacturing process involves precision molding and assembly techniques to ensure consistent quality and performance. Each unit undergoes rigorous testing before leaving the factory to verify functionality, battery life, and water resistance.

Designer Note

The integration of the LED lights was particularly challenging from a manufacturing perspective. We developed a custom solution that allowed the lights to shine through the silicone with perfect clarity while maintaining the water-resistant properties of the device.

Outcome

Spot represents a significant advancement in intimate product design, combining sophisticated aesthetics with thoughtful functionality. The product has been well-received for its innovative approach to personalization and its attention to user experience details.

As Creative Director and Industrial Designer for this project, I'm particularly proud of how Spot balances technical innovation with human-centered design, creating a product that feels both cutting-edge and deeply personal.
